About the Role
The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth by developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and serving as a key industry-facing representative. You'll be the go-to expert for clients across the food processing ecosystem-guiding them through equipment, services, and best‑in‑class decontamination solutions.
This is a highly visible role with a strong blend of relationship-building, territory ownership, and strategic sales planning.
What You'll Do
- Grow market presence within the food safety and food processing sectors.
- Build strong relationships with end users, operators, supervisors, directors, and procurement teams.
- Cultivate partnerships with microbiology labs, food safety consultants, and sanitation service providers.
- Develop and execute weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales strategies.
- Manage both new business development and existing account retention.
- Conduct a minimum of 10 weekly client interactions (new + existing).
- Deliver presentations, demos, and product trainings.
- Attend relevant industry events and conferences nationwide.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, proposals, and CRM updates.
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance in all activities.
What We're Looking For
- Based in the United States with the ability to travel ~50% overnight.
- Valid driver's license.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 2 years of sales management or territory sales experience in a service-related field.
- Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint).
- Ability to independently build and execute a territory plan.
- Excellent relationship‑building, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong professionalism, time management, and commitment to follow‑through.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
