Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the global commercial strategy for the Polymer Additives business, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and market expansion.
- Own the sales and business development activities for a portfolio of polymer additives, processing aids, stabilizers, modifiers, and specialty materials across plastics, compounds, masterbatch, packaging, automotive, construction, and consumer applications.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans across Europe, Asia, and North America in line with defined revenue and profitability targets.
- Identify, acquire, and develop new customers while strengthening relationships with existing multinational accounts and strategic partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop an international sales organization, fostering a high-performance and results-driven culture.
- Act as the executive commercial contact for key customers, distributors, and strategic industry partners.
- Work closely with R&D, technical service, operations, and product management teams to align commercial and innovation strategies.
- Drive strategic pricing initiatives, contract negotiations, and key account development activities.
- Conduct market, trend, and competitor analyses to identify new growth opportunities, emerging technologies, and commercial risks.
- Represent the company at major industry conferences, customer meetings, and international trade exhibitions.
- Promote a strong hunter mentality focused on market penetration, business development, and long-term value creation.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Extensive commercial leadership experience within polymer additives, specialty chemicals, plastics, compounds, masterbatch, or related markets.
- Proven track record of driving international sales growth and business development in highly technical B2B environments.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing multicultural sales teams across multiple regions.
- Strong understanding of polymer processing technologies, materials performance, and industrial manufacturing markets.
- Experience managing strategic accounts, distributors, and OEM relationships on a global scale.
- Excellent commercial acumen combined with strong technical credibility.
- Fluent English required; German and additional international languages are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% internationally.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset with excellent leadership, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficient with CRM platforms, ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and sales performance management tools.
