About the Role

A growing medical communications agency is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to support a diverse range of medical affairs and commercial initiatives. This individual will play a key role in translating complex clinical data into compelling, strategically aligned scientific communications that support brand strategy, field medical engagement, and healthcare professional education.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, commercial, and strategic services, to deliver high-impact content that drives engagement and scientific credibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of medical affairs and commercial scientific deliverables, including:
    • Field medical materials (MSL slide decks, training resources, reactive materials)
    • Advisory board content and internal/external briefing documents
    • Scientific platforms, core claims decks, and messaging frameworks
    • HCP-facing educational materials and digital content
  • Translate complex clinical data into clear, accurate, and strategically aligned messaging tailored to diverse audiences (HCPs, payers, internal stakeholders)
  • Partner closely with medical affairs and commercial teams to ensure alignment with brand strategy, lifecycle stage, and engagement goals
  • Support content development across the product lifecycle, including launch readiness, indication expansion, and competitive positioning

Qualifications

  • PhD, MD, PharmD, MS
  • 4 years of experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency, with a focus on medical affairs and/or commercial deliverables
  • Demonstrated experience developing medical affairs materials (e.g., field tools, advisory boards, training content, scientific narratives)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
