Sales Manager DACH - Chemical / Textile Industry (Remote)

A leading international specialty chemicals organization is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to drive commercial growth across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) within its textile-focused business unit.


Role Overview

In this highly visible role, you will take full ownership of a strategically important territory, leading regional revenue growth, key account development, and market expansion initiatives. You will act as a senior commercial partner to customers, translating complex technical requirements into high-value business opportunities while aligning closely with global and regional stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the commercial strategy for the DACH region, driving sustainable revenue and margin growth
  • Develop and deepen relationships with key strategic accounts while unlocking new market opportunities
  • Lead high-level negotiations on pricing, contracts, and long-term supply agreements
  • Identify customer challenges and convert them into commercially viable, solution-driven projects
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration with technical, product, and global teams to deliver value-added solutions
  • Provide structured forecasting, pipeline management, and market intelligence via CRM tools
  • Drive territory planning, budgeting, and performance tracking in line with global objectives
  • Represent the business in the market, strengthening brand positioning and competitive advantage
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, including frequent travel across the region

Profile

  • Proven track record in senior B2B sales within the chemical industry, ideally within textile chemicals, polymers, fibers, or surfactants
  • Demonstrated success in managing large accounts, complex sales cycles, and strategic growth initiatives
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience delivering revenue growth and margin improvement
  • Ability to engage at multiple levels, acting as a trusted advisor to both technical and commercial stakeholders
  • Experience working in matrixed, international environments
  • Degree in Chemistry, Textile Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar (preferred)
  • Proficient with CRM systems, MS Office, and ideally SAP
  • Fluent in German and English
