About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading life sciences organization, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth across its discovery services portfolio, with a focus on supporting Cell & Gene Therapy customers. This individual will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding revenue within a defined territory.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and opportunity development through contract negotiation and close.
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies to drive new business and expand existing accounts.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across biotech, pharmaceutical, and research organizations.
- Consistently achieve sales goals through effective pipeline management and forecasting.
- Collaborate with scientific and commercial teams to deliver tailored customer solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development or sales experience within life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, CROs, or CDMOs.
- Proven success managing complex sales cycles and growing strategic accounts.
- Strong understanding of drug discovery, cell biology, molecular biology, or related scientific disciplines.
- Knowledge of the Cell & Gene Therapy landscape and consultative selling methodologies.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
