Region Sales Director

Location: Midwest Region (ideally based in Chicago)

EPM Scientific is partnered with a leading U.S.-based surgical solutions manufacturer seeking a Region Director to lead the Acute Care Sales segment. This role is responsible for driving regional revenue growth, leading a team of Account Executives and Account Managers, and executing strategic initiatives across a broad portfolio of surgical and infection prevention products.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a regional sales team to achieve revenue targets
  • Set strategy for account growth and expansion
  • Partner cross-functionally to execute GPO/IDN initiatives and drive pull-through
  • Oversee product trials, implementations, and contract launches
  • Monitor pipeline, forecasting, and field activity
  • Build relationships with key hospital stakeholders and decision makers
  • Support complex negotiations and strategic account growth
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
  • Evaluate performance metrics and implement corrective actions
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing talent
  • Provide market and customer insights to leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of medical device sales experience with leadership progression
  • 3+ years of people management experience (field-based teams preferred)
  • Strong understanding of hospital/OR environment and disposable products
  • High EQ leadership with the ability to adapt across team dynamics and individual needs
  • Strong sales coach who can effectively teach and develop selling skills across the team
  • Proven success in complex sales cycles, negotiations, and forecasting
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
