6‑Month Contract | Medical Devices | Cleanroom Manufacturing
Location: Ghent, Belgium
A medical device company in Ghent is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly and upkeep of high‑precision sensor components. This is a 6‑month contract role within a cleanroom manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of advanced medical device technology.
This position is highly hands-on and process-driven, requiring exceptional attention to detail and prior experience working with micro-scale assemblies. The role is well suited to candidates with a background in microelectronics or nanotechnology who are comfortable following defined manufacturing processes repetitively to ensure consistent quality and device reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and maintain precision sensor and microelectronic components in a cleanroom environment
- Perform repetitive assembly work while strictly adhering to manufacturing instructions, SOPs and quality standards
- Handle micro-scale components using microscopes and precision tools
- Support inspection, basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled components
- Accurately document manufacturing activities, inspections and test results
- Identify process issues and escalate deviations in line with quality procedures
- Maintain cleanroom discipline, equipment readiness and workstation organisation
- Collaborate with engineering, quality and manufacturing teams to ensure robust and repeatable production output
Required Experience and Skills
Essential requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in microelectronics, nanotechnology or semiconductor-related manufacturing
- Prior work in a cleanroom manufacturing environment
- Strong background in precision or micro-assembly
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks to a consistently high standard
Additional qualifications:
- Experience within medical devices, sensors or regulated manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with structured manufacturing processes and quality documentation
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions precisely to prevent malfunctions or defects
- Strong organisational and documentation skills
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
