Job Description: Head of Product Design, Development & Rollout - Generative AI for Life Sciences
We are working with a pioneering, venture-backed life sciences AI startup headquartered in Palo Alto. This dynamic team of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs is redefining biology and medicine through Generative AI. They're the first movers in developing large scale Biological Foundation Models and are now seeking a Head of Product Design, Development & Rollout to bring their next‑generation AI platform to market.

What You'll Do
Define & Deliver: Lead end‑to‑end product design, development, and rollout for a state‑of‑the‑art AI platform serving the life sciences community.
Roadmap & Strategy: Partner with engineering and applications teams to define requirements, assess capabilities, and build a clear roadmap for product releases.
User-Centered Design: Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure features meet real user needs and iterate continuously on the user experience.
Community Engagement: Actively engage with academic and industry scientists to gather feedback on adoption, prioritize enhancements, and shape future releases.
Who You Are
Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with experience in life sciences or healthcare.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of AI/ML engineering and foundational models, including deep neural networks.
Product Experience: Proven track record delivering ML/AI products to non‑expert (consumer) users.
Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of molecular biology and high‑throughput data types (e.g., genomics, proteomics) used across academia and industry.
Scalable Deployment: Familiarity with cloud‑native engineering and deploying scalable AI solutions is a plus.
Leadership & Collaboration: Ability to lead and integrate cross‑functional teams (data scientists, engineers, UI/UX) toward shared goals.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years in product leadership roles, ideally in AI or life sciences.
Inspirational style-able to overcome technical and organizational challenges to meet launch targets.
Passion for applying AI/ML to transform biology and medicine.
