Engineering Project Manager (CAR-T manufacturing)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support engineering and automation projects for process equipment within CAR‑T manufacturing. The role involves close collaboration with senior engineering and operations leaders and contributes to long‑term planning, project execution, and continuous improvement across the engineering portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Portfolio Management

• Lead long‑term planning of engineering and automation projects.
• Initiate projects according to strategic planning and support project engineers in applying standard methodologies.
• Manage a portfolio of own engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Represent engineering projects to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support portfolio management activities, including resource planning and prioritization.

Technical & Engineering Activities

• Contribute to the design of GxP‑compliant automation systems, including:
• Historian integration
• Server‑hosted software for equipment connectivity
• PLC and HMI systems
• Address complex technical challenges that pose risks to operational priorities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across engineering processes.

Knowledge Management & Team Support

• Support knowledge management activities, including:
• Gap analyses
• Training and mentoring of junior personnel
• Promote consistent application of engineering standards and best practices.

Required

• Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in project management or people leadership.

Optional / Nice to Have

• People leadership experience.
• Background in systems engineering.
• Experience with qualification of pharmaceutical systems.
