About the Role

Our client, a top-tier healthcare advertising agency, is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Brand Strategy to lead strategic efforts on a high-visibility pharmaceutical account with two major product launches planned for the upcoming year. This is a high-impact role for a strategic leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about shaping brand narratives that drive meaningful engagement.

The ideal candidate will bring 7-10 years of experience in pharma brand strategy, a proactive mindset, and a strong ability to partner with account teams to drive brand planning and strategic innovation.


Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development

    • Lead brand strategy across multiple indications, including launch planning, positioning, and messaging.
    • Translate clinical and scientific data into compelling brand narratives for HCP and patient audiences.
    • Identify opportunities for brand growth and differentiation through proactive strategic thinking.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with account teams to shape strategic deliverables and ensure alignment across creative, medical, and client services.
    • Lead strategic workshops, planning sessions, and competitive landscape analyses.
    • Support omnichannel planning and customer journey development.
  • Client Engagement

    • Serve as a strategic partner to clients, providing insights and recommendations that guide brand decisions.
    • Present strategic thinking with clarity, confidence, and relevance to business objectives.
  • Team Leadership

    • Mentor junior strategists and contribute to the development of the strategy discipline.
    • Inspire creative teams with strategic insights that fuel impactful ideas.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 7-10 years of experience in brand strategy within pharma advertising or healthcare consulting.
  • Proven success in pharmaceutical product launches.
  • Strong understanding of FDA regulations, HCP and patient engagement, and the healthcare marketing landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with brand planning, positioning, and customer journey mapping.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in life sciences, marketing, or business preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with multiple therapeutic areas and launch strategy.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively across teams.
