Director, Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Outcomes Research

Location: USA - Remote (EST)

A mid-sized pharmaceutical company is expanding its newly formed Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Outcomes Research function, hiring for a Director, RWE & Outcomes Research to act as a cross-functional evidence generation leader for its portfolio of pipeline and marketed cardiovascular products.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and cross-functional alignment of integrated evidence generation plans and strategies.
  • Designing and executing a diverse array of epidemiologic and health outcomes research studies, including: retrospective and prospective observational research, healthcare database analyses, comparative effectiveness studies, indirect treatment comparisons, resource utilization studies, burden-of-illness assessments and natural history studies, patient-reported outcomes assessments (PRO), external control arms studies (ECA), and more.
  • Evaluating and selecting for real-world data sources.
  • Managing projects and relationships with external vendors for the conduct of research studies.
  • Supporting clinical development teams to ensure the inclusion of humanistic and economic endpoints in clinical trial designs.
  • Supporting market access and health economics teams in the development of health technology assessment (HTA) submittals.
  • Communicating scientific findings to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, PharmD, MPH) in epidemiology, biostatistics, HEOR, or related.
  • 5+ years of experience in RWE or HEOR positions within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in pharmacoepidemiologic research methods.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 25%.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary of $200,000 - $240,000
  • Annual target bonus of 20% - 25%
