A global pharmaceutical company is hiring for a Director, Medical Affairs to provide scientific and medical leadership across its Critical Care portfolio - overseeing field-based medical activities, fostering effective relationships with key opinion leaders, and contributing to research and development strategy. Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain scientific relationships with external KOLs and experts, as well as internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support global research and development initiatives and strategy.
- Represent the company at medical and scientific conferences and meetings.
- Provide strategic leadership for and contribute to the development of advisory boards, congresses, medical presentations, and scientific symposia.
- Develop and deliver scientific training for internal teams.
- Review promotional content for medical and scientific accuracy.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support post-marketing studies and investigator-initiated trials.
- Evaluate grant requests and scientific literature.
- Track requests for medical information and ensure scientifically accurate responses to medical inquiries
- Manage operational budget and resource allocation.
Required Education and Skills:
- MD with specialty training in Critical Care (anesthesia, trauma, internal medicine, surgery, etc.) is required
- 5+ years of post-fellowship/training experience is required
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50% is required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary: $250,000 - $300,000
- Annual Bonus: 20%
- PTO: 5 weeks
