A globally established organization and leader in pharmaceutical innovation is searching for a leader in Payer Contracting to join their Value & Access function as they continue to grow and expand in new areas. This individual will oversee the entire process of Managed Care Payer Contracting documentation in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, particularly focused on the contract negotiation, language, and operational elements of the payer contracting space.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, maintenance, and governance of all payer contract templates, standardized language libraries, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert on contract structure, terminology, and risk mitigation, with a strong understanding of how language impacts financial modeling; provide strategic support during customer negotiations as needed.
- Ensure contract accuracy and alignment with negotiated terms, financial goals, and operational requirements, while overseeing the full contract approval process to maintain governance and leadership visibility.
- Establish and implement best practices for contract authoring, including SOPs, quality control measures, and training programs.
- Lead a high-performing team of contract authors and support audits, compliance reviews, and due diligence efforts.
Qualifications:
- 10+ Years within Brand Pharmaceutical Pricing and Contracting
- 5+ Years of leadership experience, along with a collaborative player-coach leadership style.
- Deep expertise within payer contracting.
- Knowledge across Commercial GPO, PBM, and MBM channels, with deep knowledge of Medicare Part D/B and Medicaid contracting strategies
