Chemical Specialist for QC (m/f/d)

EPM Scientific are currently partnered with an international pharmaceutical manufacturing company specialising in the development and production of high-quality medicinal products across multiple therapeutic areas. They are seeking a Chemical Specialist for Quality Control to support their expanding Quality Control team at a production site in Germany.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sampling and analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished products according to GMP standards.
  • Conduct and evaluate analytical methods, particularly HPLC, as well as other laboratory techniques.
  • Execute and document stability studies in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate analytical activities with external testing laboratories.
  • Carry out maintenance, calibration, and (re-)qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • Support method validation and qualification of new materials and products.
  • Contribute to deviation investigations, OOS results, and complaint handling, including root cause analysis.
  • Ensure accurate and GMP-compliant documentation of all laboratory activities.

Requirements:

  • Completed vocational training as a laboratory technician (e.g. Chemistry Lab Technician, CTA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Several years of experience in Quality Control within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or chemical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical methods, particularly HPLC; additional techniques (e.g. GC, UV, IR) are advantageous.
  • Experience in performing, evaluating, and documenting laboratory analyses in a GMP-compliant manner.
  • Familiarity with maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • High level of accuracy, responsibility, and quality awareness.
  • Confident user of MS Office; experience with laboratory systems (e.g. LIMS) is a plus.
  • Fluent German skills (written and spoken); English skills are considered an advantage.
