This role is central to shaping commercial expansion within the DACH region and driving long‑term business development in a technically sophisticated environment.
Your Responsibilities
Market & Commercial Strategy
- Analyse Central European industrial markets to identify customers with high strategic value and evaluate long‑term commercial potential.
- Lead acquisition efforts across the DACH region, targeting clients requiring complex engineered plastics, polymer‑based solutions, or advanced technical components.
- Build data‑driven business cases and coordinate cross‑functional input from global manufacturing sites.
Customer & Partnership Development
- Develop and maintain long‑term, trust‑based relationships with key accounts across industrial and technical sectors.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, trade shows, and high‑level customer meetings, acting as a senior commercial ambassador.
Project & Contract Management
- Manage quotation processes, coordinate tailored solution proposals, and oversee project execution through to successful completion.
- Support contract structuring, pricing, negotiation, and framework agreements for multinational customers.
Pricing & Profitability
- Define and implement pricing strategies that ensure sustainable margins across diverse technical applications.
Leadership & Regional Presence
- Collaborate closely with global production, engineering, and technical teams to align customer requirements with plastics processing capabilities and manufacturing expertise.
- Maintain an active presence across the DACH region through regular customer visits and on‑site engagements.
- Execute administrative tasks remotely or from designated regional sites.
Requirements
- University degree in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Additional training in Sales, Commercial Management, or Business Development is strongly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of polymer processing, engineered plastics solutions, and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Several years of experience in international sales and business development, ideally within plastics, engineered components, or other technically complex capital goods.
- Proven ability to secure, grow, and manage high‑value accounts with international potential.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Central Europe.
- Based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, with both remote and on‑site work flexibility.
