Automation Engineer

The Automation Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, commissioning, qualification and
the reliable and compliant operation of the control system(s) installed on the client site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide design support for the generation and configuration of the DeltaV system configuration for the following utility and process systems which are monitored and controlled by the DeltaV DCS
• Black and Clean Utility generation, storage and distribution systems;
• Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning for the classified and non-classified areas within the site manufacturing and utility areas
• Environmental Monitoring System
• Compounding and SIP/CIP system
• Review and approve Automation Requirements, Design, Test, Qualification and Validation documentation.
• Provide guidance and technical direction to the external System Integrator for the generation and testing of the DeltaV DCS software configuration
• Support software FATs and SATs by approving documents and witnessing on behalf Automation Representative
• Support the integrated commissioning of the DeltaV system software, hardware and interfaces to the various process and utility systems listed above.
• Support the 3rd Party Package Unit (PU) integration into the overall Project Automation / OT landscape, including mapping the data interface and data exchanges between DeltaV and the PUs.
• Support the reliable operation of the various control systems by providing hands on support to trouble shoot control system software and hardware issues.
• Collaborate with the MES team to facilitate deployment of electronic log books eLogs, and integration with DeltaV

Key Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical / Chemical / Process Control,
• or related field).
• 5 to 10 years process control system design and configuration experience
• 5+ years DeltaV DCS hands on design and configuration experience
• Detailed understanding of S88 batch software structure
• Knowledge of applicable Regulatory Requirements and Codes of Practices for automated system, including CFR 21 Part 11, GAMP 5 2nd Edition
• Experience in the Life Sciences Industries
