Associate Director, Patient Support & Reimbursement Strategy
Location: Princeton, NJ
We are partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical organization to hire an Associate Director, Patient Support & Reimbursement Strategy to lead patient access and reimbursement strategy for a Hematology portfolio within a complex specialty payer environment.
This role sits at the intersection of Patient Support Services, reimbursement strategy, market access, and digital enablement. The Associate Director will serve as the primary PSS and reimbursement strategy lead for Hematology while helping shape scalable patient support capabilities across a broader portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead patient support and reimbursement strategy across both medical and pharmacy benefit products, including access, affordability, and payer‑driven programs.
- Serve as the primary Patient Support Services and reimbursement strategy partner for the Hematology franchise.
- Drive omni‑channel patient support strategies focused on access, education, affordability, and engagement.
- Partner closely with Market Access, Brand, and Field teams to align patient support design with commercial and access strategy.
- Lead patient journey mapping to identify key access barriers and implement operational solutions that support timely therapy initiation.
- Incorporate payer requirements, outcomes measures, and value‑based program considerations into patient support strategy, where appropriate.
- Lead patient support program design and implementation for product launches and lifecycle initiatives.
- Set strategic direction for digital enablement across patient support programs, including portals, websites, and omni‑channel communications.
- Collaborate with IT, Digital, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Medical, and Operations teams to ensure compliant execution.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships, including budget and operational oversight.
- Oversee promotional review processes and management of patient support marketing materials.
- Support training initiatives related to patient support, reimbursement strategy, and value‑based program requirements.
- Monitor competitive landscape, payer trends, and reimbursement dynamics to inform ongoing program optimization.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical organizations.
- Prior experience in Patient Support Services, reimbursement strategy, or market access marketing.
- Strong exposure to Hematology or Oncology, with preference for specialty or rare disease portfolios.
- Proven experience supporting commercial launches tied to patient support and/or access.
- Demonstrated ability to translate payer requirements into operational patient support solutions.
- Experience working cross‑functionally in highly regulated environments; co‑promotion experience is a plus.
