Associate Director, Patient Marketing

Location: San Francisco, CA (3 days on‑site)

Responsibilities

  • Lead U.S. patient marketing strategy and execution for a key late‑stage asset, ensuring strong alignment across cross‑functional partners.
  • Develop patient‑focused messaging, educational materials, and engagement campaigns that support disease awareness and treatment adoption.
  • Collaborate closely with insights, medical, market access, digital, and external agency partners to design integrated and compliant programs.
  • Identify patient and caregiver needs through research and translate them into actionable initiatives, including ambassador and community engagement efforts.
  • Establish performance metrics and continuously optimize tactics to enhance effectiveness and improve the patient experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial pharma/biotech experience
  • 3+ years patient marketing experience in pharma/biotech
  • Experience supporting or leading a product launch; rare disease or specialty markets preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret clinical and market research insights to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communicator who collaborates well across diverse, fast‑moving teams.
  • Highly self‑directed, strategic, adaptable, and passionate about improving outcomes for patients with underserved conditions.
