Director, Marketing & Strategy
Location: Northeast-Based Remote Opportunity
Compensation: $200,000--$250,000 Base Salary (+Annual Bonus & Benefits)
SUMMARY
A growing, privately held global biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Director of Marketing & Strategy to lead its U.S. Marketing function across an established specialty healthcare portfolio.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations, this individual will manage a team of three and take ownership of U.S. marketing strategy, brand positioning, multichannel execution, sales enablement, and future portfolio expansion.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity for a commercially minded marketer who can balance long-term strategy with day-to-day execution in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and execution of integrated U.S. marketing plans across a diverse portfolio of regulated healthcare products
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of three marketing professionals
- Establish differentiated brand positioning, messaging, and customer-engagement strategies
- Oversee multichannel campaigns across digital, social media, print, conferences, and field-facing platforms
- Partner closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, and Commercial Leadership to translate strategy into effective execution
- Develop sales messaging, promotional tools, onboarding resources, and product-training programs
- Lead Marketing's participation in the internal promotional review process, ensuring materials meet company policies and applicable industry standards
- Oversee market research, customer segmentation, competitive analysis, and market-opportunity assessments
- Manage the annual U.S. marketing budget, agency relationships, external vendors, and campaign performance
- Support launch planning for new products, indications, and future portfolio additions
- Partner with senior leadership to evaluate new markets and develop go-to-market strategies
- Present marketing priorities, performance updates, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, animal health, or another regulated life-sciences environment
- At least three years of formal people-leadership experience
- Demonstrated success managing multiple brands, products, or customer segments
- Experience developing both strategic marketing plans and hands-on tactical execution
- Direct involvement in the launch of a new product or indication
- Strong understanding of HCP marketing and the U.S. healthcare environment
- Experience partnering with sales teams on messaging, training, tools, and field execution
- Familiarity with medical, legal, regulatory, or promotional review processes
- Proven budget, agency, vendor, and project-management experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into commercial decisions
- Veterinary or animal-health experience is advantageous but not required
