Senior Vice President of Business Development : BioA Contract Research

An innovative and specialised Contract Research Organisation (CRO) is seeking a visionary and commercially astute leader to drive its global business development strategy. This executive role will oversee all commercial operations, set strategic direction, and foster high-level partnerships to accelerate growth. The position offers remote flexibility within Europe and requires international travel to engage with clients and represent the organisation at industry events. The company is a leader in bioanalytical services for pharmaceutical and biotech markets, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global commercial strategy to achieve revenue growth and market expansion objectives.
  • Lead and mentor the business development team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders
  • Drive market positioning and brand visibility through thought leadership, participation in international conferences, and engagement with industry networks.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and commercial governance, ensuring profitability and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences) preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in business development and commercial leadership, with at least 5 years in an executive role within a CRO or related life sciences organisation.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strategic partnerships at a global level.
  • Strong understanding of GLP, GxP regulations and familiarity with Discovery, Pre-clinical, or Early-stage clinical (Phase I-III) services.
  • Based in Europe, with willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%) and work remotely full-time.
