Role Overview
- Drive growth by cultivating existing key accounts and identifying new business prospects within the assigned territory. This includes proactive outreach, diligent follow-up on quotes, and consistent relationship-building efforts.
- Engage with clients across industrial, academic, government, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors, offering a broad spectrum of products tailored to their needs.
- Communicate the unique benefits of organization's offerings clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Explore untapped opportunities within current accounts and actively pursue leads to convert them into successful sales.
- Build lasting customer relationships that foster trust and loyalty, aligning solutions with client goals to support long-term success and satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed sales targets on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis through strategic sales and marketing initiatives.
- Initiate and maintain contact with key accounts via phone, email, and other channels to promote growth and secure new sales.
- Develop strong connections with various departments within customer organizations-including Purchasing, Engineering, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Quality-to understand and fulfill their needs.
- Evaluate and qualify new opportunities while expanding existing business through a structured sales approach.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as marketing, customer service, pricing, technical support, and credit to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Apply pricing and quoting strategies to optimize profitability and drive business growth.
- Manage territory effectively by identifying gaps, reclaiming lost business, and targeting new areas for expansion.
- Create strategies to deepen engagement with current clients and attract new ones through market research and workflow analysis.
- Participate in product, vendor, and system training sessions to stay informed about new offerings and technologies.
- Use supplier catalogs and online tools to cross-reference products and suggest alternatives when needed.
- Support customers in making informed purchasing decisions by providing product research, pricing, and availability insights.
- Conduct market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and competitor movements.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- At least 5 years of experience in inside or field sales, preferably with technical products.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; experience with databases is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- Goal-oriented and self-driven, with a proactive approach to achieving results.
