Senior Scientist
Our client is a global biopharmaceutical research organization based in Singapore, focused on advancing next-generation biologics and innovative therapeutic approaches across multiple disease areas including regenerative medicine and cardiometabolic conditions.
Our client is seeking a highly driven and scientifically rigorous Senior Scientist with expertise in cell biology and/or pharmacology to support cutting-edge drug discovery programs. This role combines strengths from both disciplines to drive target validation, assay development, and translational research across in vitro and in vivo systems. You will play a key role in shaping novel therapeutic concepts and advancing programs from early discovery through preclinical evaluation, while collaborating within cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute cell-based and pharmacology studies (in vitro and/or in vivo) to evaluate efficacy and mechanism of action
- Design and develop advanced assays including phenotypic, imaging-based, and functional screening platforms
- Contribute to regenerative medicine, stem cell, and disease biology research initiatives
- Drive innovative drug discovery concepts from ideation through experimental validation
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets; present findings to support decision-making and project advancement
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across biology, pharmacology, and related functions
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a strong scientific and collaborative culture
- Support scientific publications, patents, and internal knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Life Sciences, or a related field
- 0-3+ years of relevant experience in academia, biotech, or pharmaceutical research
- Strong expertise in at least one area: cell biology, regenerative medicine, stem cells, or in vitro/in vivo pharmacology
- Experience designing and executing functional assays or pharmacological studies
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Effective communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment
- A proactive, innovative mindset with passion for advancing therapeutic development
