Location: Italy / Spain / France (preferred)

An innovative and rapidly expanding medical device company within the ophthalmology sector is seeking a Regional Sales Manager - Western Europe to drive commercial growth across key markets, with a focus on Italy, Spain, and France.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to lead regional sales execution for a cutting-edge ophthalmic portfolio, supporting the adoption of advanced technologies that improve patient outcomes in vision care. The successful candidate will play a critical role in accelerating revenue growth, strengthening distributor networks, and expanding direct market presence across Southern and Western Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute the regional commercial strategy across Italy, Spain, and France, delivering on revenue and growth targets
  • Manage and optimise distributor partnerships and/or direct sales channels
  • Drive product adoption within ophthalmology clinics, hospitals, and surgical centres
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ophthalmologists, KOLs, and clinical stakeholders
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, clinical, and regulatory teams to support product launches and market penetration
  • Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine strategy

Candidate Profile

  • Proven sales experience within medical devices or ophthalmology, ideally across Southern/Western Europe
  • Strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a regional or multi-country role
  • Experience managing distributors and/or direct sales models
  • Established network within the ophthalmology community (surgeons, clinics, procurement)
  • Strong understanding of local healthcare systems in Italy, Spain, and/or France
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a high-growth environment
  • Fluency in English plus one or more of Italian, Spanish, or French is highly advantageous
