The Regional Sales Director will be responsible for driving business performance, developing talent, building strategic customer relationships, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure successful execution across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
- Translate national strategies into actionable regional business plans and priorities.
- Drive sales performance and market growth through effective execution and customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key healthcare stakeholders, including health systems, specialty providers, and other relevant customers.
- Partner closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams to align efforts and maximize impact.
- Leverage data, analytics, and market insights to guide decision-making and optimize performance.
- Ensure all business activities are executed in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop top commercial talent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 9+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or specialty healthcare sales experience.
- 6+ years of frontline leadership experience managing field-based sales teams.
- Demonstrated success creating and executing strategic business plans.
- Proven ability to recruit, coach, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience leading specialty pharmaceutical teams in complex care environments.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement, and specialty distribution models.
- Proven track record of building relationships with key accounts and healthcare stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
- Experience influencing and collaborating within a cross-functional, matrixed organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
