Genomic Sales Specialist (Germany & Austria)

An innovative and rapidly growing genomics technology company is seeking a Genomic Sales Specialist to drive commercial growth across Germany and Austria. This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of precision medicine, supporting laboratories, hospitals, diagnostic providers, and research institutions with cutting-edge genomic analysis solutions.

The Opportunity

As the Genomic Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and expanding existing customer relationships across the DACH region. You'll own the full sales cycle, engage with key clinical and scientific stakeholders, and play a key role in supporting the adoption of advanced genomics technologies within healthcare and research settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development across Germany and Austria.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within hospitals, clinical laboratories, diagnostic centres, and research organisations.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer meetings.
  • Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, marketing, and product teams to support growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • Commercial or technical sales experience within Genomics, Molecular Diagnostics, NGS, Bioinformatics, or a related life sciences field.
  • Strong understanding of genomic technologies, sequencing workflows, and clinical diagnostics.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant scientific discipline such as Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Germany and Austria as required.
