EPM is partnering with an independent, award winning global medical communications agency that is hiring a Publications Manager for its US team!

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day delivery of publication and medical affairs programs for biopharma clients, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to a high scientific standard.
- Serve as a primary client contact across assigned accounts, building trusted relationships, managing expectations, and proactively identifying opportunities to add value.
- Act as the scientific lead on publications and medical affairs projects, providing strategic input, interpreting data, and ensuring scientific accuracy across deliverables.
- Oversee the development and review of manuscripts, abstracts, posters, congress materials, slide decks, and other scientific communications, collaborating closely with writers and cross-functional teams.
- Manage timelines, project plans, budgets, and resources while coordinating internal teams to deliver high-quality work efficiently.
- Contribute to publication planning activities, helping clients communicate evidence and data effectively throughout the product lifecycle.
- Participate in proposal development, client presentations, and other business development activities as opportunities arise.
- Mentor junior team members through project-based guidance, scientific review, and best-practice sharing while supporting a collaborative team culture.
- Maintain a strong understanding of therapeutic area developments, publication practices, and medical affairs trends to support strategic client recommendations.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, MPH, PhD, or other relevant degree in a life sciences, healthcare, or scientific discipline
- 3+ years of experience within a medical communications agency, healthcare communications agency, CRO, pharmaceutical company, or similar scientific communications environment
- Demonstrated experience independently leading projects and acting as a client-facing point of contact
- Experience serving as a scientific lead across publications, medical affairs, or related medical communications deliverables
- Strong understanding of scientific publications, publication planning, and/or medical affairs communications
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to be onsite in the Boston or New York office 2-3 days per week
