Overview
We are partnering with a growing diagnostics organisation seeking a Head of Marketing to lead its strategic marketing function across Europe. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving commercial growth, strengthening market positioning, and developing a team of Product Managers focused on a specialised diagnostics portfolio. Relevant leadership themes were found in internal diagnostics marketing and product management profiles, including product strategy, portfolio management, GTM execution, KPI ownership, and leadership of product management teams.
Reporting into senior leadership, the successful candidate will define and execute the marketing strategy, oversee product lifecycle management, and work closely with Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs, and Executive Leadership to accelerate market growth and customer adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the European marketing strategy for the diagnostics portfolio.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Managers, building a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Own portfolio strategy, product positioning, segmentation, and market expansion initiatives.
- Drive successful product launches and go-to-market activities across international markets.
- Conduct market analysis, competitor assessments, and customer research to identify growth opportunities.
- Partner closely with Commercial, Medical, and R&D teams to ensure market needs are incorporated into product development.
- Define and monitor key marketing KPIs, ensuring measurable business impact and ROI.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, KOLs, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Represent the organisation at industry conferences, customer meetings, and scientific events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.
- Significant marketing leadership experience within the diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, pathology, or broader life sciences sector.
- Proven experience leading and developing Product Managers or Product Marketing teams.
- Strong product management and portfolio strategy experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, R&D, Medical Affairs, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate scientific innovation into business growth.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English required; German is advantageous.
