Role Overview

A rapidly growing diagnostics company is seeking a Director, National Accounts to lead strategic partnerships with key national laboratory organizations. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this individual will be responsible for driving product adoption, revenue growth, and long-term account value across major reference laboratory customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute national account strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships across major laboratory organizations.
  • Lead contract discussions, negotiations, and account implementation efforts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product adoption across customer sites, service lines, and business units.
  • Conduct business reviews and maintain accurate forecasts to support commercial planning.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Product teams.
  • Serve as the primary internal advocate for national account customers.

Experience and Skills

  • 15+ years of commercial experience within diagnostics, laboratory services, genomics, or related healthcare markets.
  • Proven success managing national or enterprise-level accounts and driving meaningful revenue growth.
  • Strong relationships with national laboratory organizations such as Quest Diagnostics, Labcorp, Sonic Healthcare, or similar accounts preferred.
  • Experience selling complex clinical diagnostic products and navigating long sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated contract negotiation, forecasting, and strategic account planning experience.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence multiple stakeholder groups.
