Business Development Manager - Corrosion Protection

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Corrosion Protection solutions portfolio. This role focuses on expanding market presence for advanced anti-corrosion coatings and systems used in critical sectors such as oil & gas, marine, infrastructure, and industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy for corrosion protection coatings and related technologies.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities with EPCs, asset owners, and maintenance contractors in sectors such as energy, transportation, and heavy industry.
  • Build strong relationships with OEMs, engineering firms, and distributors to position our solutions in long-term projects.
  • Collaborate with technical service and R&D teams to deliver tailored solutions for corrosion prevention and surface protection.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory standards (ISO, NACE, etc.), and competitor activities to inform commercial decisions.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, prepare accurate forecasts, and support pricing strategies for corrosion protection products.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and technical seminars to strengthen brand visibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or sales within corrosion protection, protective coatings, or related specialty chemicals.
  • Strong technical understanding of corrosion mechanisms, coating systems (epoxy, polyurethane, zinc-rich primers), and application processes.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and securing projects in industrial or infrastructure markets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% across EMEA.
