Account Manager - Life Sciences Research (m/f/d)

Region: Eastern Germany (Berlin + surrounding territory incl. Dresden / Leipzig / Jena / Magdeburg)
Remote-based / field sales

A well-established international provider of scientific equipment and research solutions is hiring an experienced field-based Account Manager to grow its customer base across life science research accounts in Eastern Germany.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, managing a territory independently, and progressing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders - from lab users through to procurement and leadership.


What you'll be doing

  • Owning and developing a defined territory across Eastern Germany
  • Managing and expanding existing customer relationships in life science research environments
  • Proactively generating new business through prospecting, networking and account planning
  • Running the full sales cycle: discovery → proposal → negotiation → close
  • Building relationships with a range of stakeholders (scientific, operational, procurement, decision-makers)
  • Working with internal specialist teams to support customer needs and solution design
  • Maintaining an accurate pipeline, forecasting and activity reporting
  • Spending significant time on-site with customers (this is a high-travel role)

What we're looking for

  • Proven field sales experience
  • Comfortable closing business and working to targets in a competitive, commercial environment
  • Experience selling into life sciences / diagnostics / biotech / research (preferred)
  • Scientific understanding helpful (degree or lab exposure a plus, but not essential)
  • Confident influencing multiple stakeholders and navigating longer / more complex sales processes
  • German language skills (B2+ / conversational professional level and above)
  • Full driving licence + willingness to be on the road
