Account Manager - Life Sciences Research (m/f/d)
Region: Eastern Germany (Berlin + surrounding territory incl. Dresden / Leipzig / Jena / Magdeburg)

A well-established international provider of scientific equipment and research solutions is hiring an experienced field-based Account Manager to grow its customer base across life science research accounts in Eastern Germany.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, managing a territory independently, and progressing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders - from lab users through to procurement and leadership.
What you'll be doing
- Owning and developing a defined territory across Eastern Germany
- Managing and expanding existing customer relationships in life science research environments
- Proactively generating new business through prospecting, networking and account planning
- Running the full sales cycle: discovery → proposal → negotiation → close
- Building relationships with a range of stakeholders (scientific, operational, procurement, decision-makers)
- Working with internal specialist teams to support customer needs and solution design
- Maintaining an accurate pipeline, forecasting and activity reporting
- Spending significant time on-site with customers (this is a high-travel role)
What we're looking for
- Proven field sales experience
- Comfortable closing business and working to targets in a competitive, commercial environment
- Experience selling into life sciences / diagnostics / biotech / research (preferred)
- Scientific understanding helpful (degree or lab exposure a plus, but not essential)
- Confident influencing multiple stakeholders and navigating longer / more complex sales processes
- German language skills (B2+ / conversational professional level and above)
- Full driving licence + willingness to be on the road
