Title: Senior Medical Science Liaison
Territory: Southeast (FL, GA, AL, LA, AR, TN)

A well-established global pharmaceutical company is looking to bring on an experienced professional as a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) traveling the Southeast. Acting as an integral part of the US Medical Affairs division, you will actively pursue strategic initiatives aimed at fostering physician support and advocating patient interests to support the organizations growing pipeline.

What You'll Do:
Identify and develop relationships with national and regional medical and scientific KOLs consistent with the strategy and objectives of Medical Affairs and overall strategies of the Company.
Engage in scientific exchange and education about current and emerging therapies in a compliant fashion with KOLs (to include advisory boards, individual meetings, and congresses).
Develop and maintain scientific, clinical and therapeutic expertise in the areas of nephrology.
Represent the company at specific continuing medical educational events, programs, medical meetings and scientific conventions.
Partner with Medical Affairs and Drug Information Services to ensure accurate delivery of medical and scientific information, as needed.
Proactively identify and assist as needed in facilitation of Investigator-sponsored clinical trials.
Work with clinical development as requested to identify and engage with appropriate sites for the Company's trials.
Identify disease concepts that can be leveraged into product differentiation.
Differentiate the Company as the valued scientific partner of choice through innovative initiatives, coordinated strategy, and scientific communication.
Provide appropriate scientific, clinical, and educational support for internal cross functional customers (including other members of the MSL team).
Support medical publications as needed (abstracts, manuscripts, etc.).
Support commercial operations by participating in Speaker and Representative Training.
Lead/participate on special project teams as necessary.
Coordinate scientific activities with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, and Global Franchise group, as needed.
Ensure a close working relationship with all US cross-functional nephrology team members, including field-based counterparts and home office-based team members, legal, regulatory, market access individuals, medical/clinical operations.

Additional Senior-Level Responsibilities:
Lead congress planning and reporting
Mentor new and onboarding MSL's
Help build training materials centered around effective and efficient instructional design

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced Scientific Degree (MD, OD, PhD, PharmD) or equivalent experience required.
3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or other healthcare or hospital environment required. Experience as an MSL is preferred.
Previous industry or clinical experience in nephrology/hepatology is required.
Must reside in the Southeast (FL, TN, GA, AL, LA, AR)
Well-established professional connections with healthcare providers in the TA within the specified region.
Knowledge of PhRMA and other guidelines relating to compliant medical communications.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid Driver's License Required.
