Scientist/Sr. Scientist, DMPK
Summary
The client is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company designing novel small molecule therapies with a focus on targeting cancer cell growth.
The client is seeking a Senior Scientist (or Scientist) of DMPK, on-site based in Delaware (Wilmington). They prefer the individual possess expertise with PK modeling, in vivo PK studies, or both.
Main Responsibilities
* Helps to design, implement and lead DMPK studies to support discovery and development efforts as they relate to the company's small molecule pipeline - particularly In Vitro ADME studies.
* Carry out in vivo PK studies.
* Implement PK modeling using software (e.g. WinNonLin) to effectively measure drug concentration.
* Summarizes and organizes data interpretation of studies to share with cross functional teams.
* Through cross-functional interactions, support other technical teams outside of DMPK to help drive the development of effective therapeutics.
* Interprets DMPK data to inform the design of pharmacology, toxicology, and other studies.
* Assist with PKPD modeling activities to estimate efficacious dose/response in humans and other metrics when needed.
* Serves on internal project teams as nonclinical DMPK representative.
* Collaborates closely with other DMPK scientists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists.
*Required Qualifications and Background:
* PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Biochemistry or related discipline.
* Minimum 4-5 years of industry experience, preferably in Biotech or Pharma.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of DMPK concepts.
* Background working with small molecules.
* Experience with PK modeling development using WinNonLin or other softwares.
* Experience with in vivo PK studies.
* Must be detail oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
* Prior experience supervising or managing junior scientists a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to engage in cross functional interactions and influence project team strategy in Discovery/Drug Development.
