Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering with a proven track record in spearheading greenfield site projects within the pharmaceutical sector. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operations in Singapore. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the successful establishment and growth of our engineering department.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide visionary leadership to the engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's overall mission.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy for the greenfield site, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Greenfield Site Establishment:
- Lead the setup and commissioning of the greenfield site, overseeing facility design, construction, and installation of equipment and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering operations within the startup ecosystem.
Team Development and Management:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
Project Management:
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Implement best practices in project management methodologies, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in engineering operations.
- Work closely with regulatory affairs teams to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations and product development.
Resource Allocation and Budgeting:
- Effectively manage resources and budgets to optimize operational efficiency and maximize ROI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, with a focus on Pharmaceutical or related fields. Master's degree or equivalent is a plus.
- Proven experience (X+ years) in a leadership role overseeing engineering operations within the pharmaceutical industry, with specific expertise in greenfield site establishment.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects from concept to execution.
- Demonstrated experience in team building, talent development, and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
