About the Role
An innovative clinical-stage biotech focused on dermatology and rare genetic disorders is seeking a Senior Director of Clinical Operations to lead and optimize its clinical development programs. With multiple programs advancing toward pivotal trials, this role will be critical in shaping operational strategies, managing vendors, and building a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical operations for global trials, ensuring high-quality planning, execution, and delivery across dermatology and rare disease indications.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies in collaboration with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Data Management teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, CROs, and external partners to ensure timely and compliant execution of clinical programs.
- Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and resource allocation for clinical trials.
- Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, FA, EMA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Build and mentor a high-performing clinical operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic insights and executive-level updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in clinical operations, with at least 3-5 years in senior leadership role.
- Experience with complex clinical trials (rare disease, dermatology, microbiome-based therapeutics preferred).
- Proven track record of successful global trial execution and regulatory submissions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in both small biotech and large pharma environments is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative setting.
