Senior Accountant - Revenue, Contractor
Overview
We are supporting a growing pharmaceutical organization seeking a Senior Accountant - Revenue Contractor to assist with upcoming month-end close activities and provide ongoing support through the audit cycle. This is an immediate need, and the ideal candidate will have strong Gross-to-Net (GTN) accounting experience within the life sciences sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end and quarter-end close activities related to revenue accounting.
- Manage and analyze Gross-to-Net reserves, including rebates, chargebacks, returns, and discounts.
- Review and reconcile managed care, wholesaler, and distribution data.
- Partner with third-party providers, including 3PL organizations, to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
- Support SOX compliance and internal control activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting audit documentation.
- Collaborate with Finance, Commercial, Market Access, and Accounting stakeholders.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and external auditor requests.
- Identify process improvements and support revenue accounting best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 4-5+ years of Gross-to-Net (GTN) experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
- 10+ years of overall accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of revenue accounting and month-end close processes.
- Experience with rebates, chargebacks, managed care, and distribution-related accounting.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and third-party data sources.
- Strong knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite ERP experience.
- CPA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Public company experience.
- Experience supporting external audits.
- Advanced Excel skills.
