Role Overview

This position is a Field Service & Application Specialist role, responsible for supporting customers across Northern and Eastern Germany, including Berlin and surrounding regions.

You will play a key role in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through technical support, installation, and training, while also supporting commercial teams by promoting the full product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely (via phone and digital tools)
  • Deliver service, maintenance, and application training on diagnostic instruments and optical workshop equipment
  • Install systems and ensure customers are fully trained on product usage and best practice
  • Support the sales function by introducing customers to the broader product portfolio and identifying cross-selling opportunities
  • Contribute to high customer satisfaction and retention through responsive and professional support
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges in collaboration with internal departments, including service, sales, and marketing
  • Gather customer feedback and contribute to the development of improved solutions alongside product and marketing teams
  • Continuously develop technical expertise through training and self-directed learning

Candidate Profile

  • Strong technical aptitude, with experience in technical systems and IT environments
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and applications
  • Well-organised, with strong planning and communication skills
  • Prior experience in a field-based or customer-facing technical role
  • Team-oriented mindset, with a collaborative and proactive approach
  • Completed technical qualification or vocational training
  • Proficiency in standard digital tools (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience within the optical or ophthalmic sector is advantageous
