A rapidly growing provider of enterprise laboratory and scientific software solutions is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Professional Services organization. This individual will serve as a key liaison between customers and implementation teams, helping organizations translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions while ensuring successful project delivery and long-term customer success.
The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a consultative, customer-facing environment, enjoys solving complex business challenges, and can effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and end users. This role plays a critical part in helping customers optimize processes, improve operational efficiency, and successfully implement enterprise software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gathering, documenting, and validating functional business requirements for customer projects
- Partnering with customers to understand business processes, operational workflows, and system requirements
- Translating business needs into functional specifications for implementation and configuration teams
- Collaborating with solution architects, developers, consultants, and project managers to support successful project execution
- Facilitating customer workshops, discovery sessions, and requirements-gathering meetings
- Developing functional requirements documentation, process maps, and solution recommendations
- Providing guidance to customers throughout implementation and deployment activities
- Supporting project teams in identifying and resolving functional and process-related challenges
- Acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter resource during customer engagements
- Working closely with project management teams to ensure timelines, deliverables, scope changes, and customer expectations are effectively managed
Preferred Background
- 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Professional Services, Consulting, Process Improvement, or Software Implementation
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions
- Proven success working directly with customers in a consulting or client-facing environment
- Ability to facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across technical and business functions
- Experience with business process analysis, workflow optimization, and requirements documentation
- Familiarity with enterprise software, SaaS platforms, laboratory informatics, healthcare technology, scientific software, professional services, or consulting environments is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
