An established and growing healthcare marketing agency, is seeking an experienced Medical Director-level leader to join their scientific team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of science, strategy, client engagement, and creative healthcare communications. The organization is looking for a seasoned scientific leader who can drive high‑level strategy, elevate scientific storytelling, and serve as a trusted client partner.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the scientific and strategic lead across assigned brands and therapeutic areas
- Translate complex data into compelling, commercially aligned narratives
- Partner closely with account and creative teams to ensure scientific accuracy
- Lead client discussions, independently represent the medical perspective, and provide expert recommendations
- Oversee development of high‑quality medical communications and promotional materials
- Play a key role in new business development, including pitch preparation, scientific story development, and live pitch participation
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical advertising, medical communications, or healthcare marketing (agency experience required)
- Advanced scientific degree: PhD, MD, or PharmD
- Strong client‑facing experience and a track record of leading scientific strategy
- Hands‑on experience participating in business pitches and driving new business wins
- Ability to work onsite in the Philadelphia area, hybrid 3 days per week
