Role Overview

We are looking for a Scientist with a background in pharmaceutical sciences and dissolution testing to join a Dissolution Sciences team in Beerse.

You will support pharmaceutical development through the design, planning and execution of dissolution studies, helping develop biorelevant methods, clinically relevant QC methods and specifications, and supporting the use of in vitro data to better understand in vivo drug exposure.

You will work cross-functionally with teams including Formulation Development, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs.

Key Responsibilities

Design, plan and support dissolution studies for pharmaceutical development.
Develop and optimise QC and biorelevant dissolution methods.
Support biopharmaceutical assessments using in vitro dissolution data.
Contribute to the development of clinically relevant QC methods and specifications.
Support data modelling, statistical analysis, DoE and MVA activities.
Contribute to laboratory automation and equipment qualification.
Participate in technical meetings and cross-functional project teams.
Prepare and review technical and scientific documentation.
Work in accordance with GMP and pharmaceutical quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

PhD in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences or a related field, OR Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of small molecule pharmaceutical/formulation development.
Experience with dissolution testing and/or dissolution method development is highly desirable.
Understanding of analytical chemistry and GMP.
Experience with biorelevant dissolution, statistical/data modelling, DoE or MVA is advantageous.
Laboratory automation or equipment qualification experience is beneficial.
Strong written and spoken English.
