Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies aligned with client goals in the life sciences industry.
- Provide expert counsel on media relations, reputation management, and crisis communications.
- Lead integrated campaigns that reflect current regulatory and industry trends.
Client Engagement & Account Oversight
- Serve as a senior advisor and main point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and strategic alignment.
- Manage and mentor account teams to deliver high-quality, timely, and creative communications solutions.
- Drive client satisfaction through proactive communication and results-driven execution.
Media Relations & Thought Leadership
- Leverage strong media relationships to secure top-tier and trade coverage for clients.
- Identify and develop thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements, bylined content, and awards.
- Guide clients on social media strategy to enhance visibility and engagement.
Industry Expertise & Regulatory Insight
- Stay informed on life sciences trends, regulatory updates, and public policy developments.
- Help clients navigate complex regulatory environments with clear, compliant messaging.
Business Development
- Support new business efforts by contributing to proposals, pitches, and relationship-building.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and expand the agency's life sciences portfolio.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and inclusion.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of team and client work.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in public relations, with a strong focus on life sciences, healthcare, biotech, or pharma.
- Proven success in developing and executing strategic communications programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- Deep understanding of regulatory bodies such as the FDA, CDC, and related frameworks.
- Strong media relations skills and a track record of securing impactful coverage.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
