Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced scientific leader to drive their In Vitro Biology capabilities across integrated drug discovery programmes. You will lead assay development, screening and disease-modelling activities while managing client relationships, mentoring scientists and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop high-performing in vitro biology teams.
  • Oversee design and execution of cell-based and mechanistic assays.
  • Act as scientific lead on client-facing drug discovery programmes.
  • Collaborate with chemistry, DMPK and translational science teams.
  • Support proposals, business development and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Drive scientific excellence, innovation and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Biology, Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology or related discipline.
  • Significant experience in drug discovery within CRO, biotech or pharma.
  • Strong background in assay development, screening and cellular pharmacology.
  • Previous leadership and client-facing experience.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
