Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced scientific leader to drive their DMPK and ADME capabilities across integrated drug discovery programmes. You will provide strategic and scientific oversight across pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism and candidate optimisation activities while leading client interactions, mentoring scientists and contributing to the continued growth of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop high-performing DMPK and ADME teams.
  • Oversee the design, execution and interpretation of in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies.
  • Provide strategic guidance on pharmacokinetics, metabolism, bioavailability and candidate selection.
  • Act as scientific lead on client-facing drug discovery programmes.
  • Collaborate closely with biology, medicinal chemistry and translational science teams.
  • Support proposals, business development and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Drive scientific excellence, innovation and operational efficiency across DMPK services.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in drug discovery within a CRO, biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong expertise across ADME, pharmacokinetics, metabolism and candidate profiling.
  • Previous leadership and client-facing experience.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary scientific projects.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
