Position Overview

The Senior Director, Clinical Development will be a key leader responsible for shaping and executing clinical strategy across one or more neurology‑focused development programs. This role oversees end‑to‑end clinical development-from early‑phase studies through pivotal trials, and serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, regulatory authorities, investigators, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead clinical strategy and execution across assigned programs from Phase I to Phase III
  • Partner closely with clinical operations, regulatory affairs, biometrics, safety, medical affairs, and external collaborators
  • Guide authoring and submission of protocols, regulatory documents, briefing packages, and clinical sections of regulatory filings
  • Analyze, interpret, and present clinical data to support decision‑making
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and clinical partners
  • Provide clinical leadership on study design, risk mitigation, patient selection, and endpoint strategy
  • Represent clinical development in cross‑functional program teams and executive‑level discussions
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends in neurology, neuroinflammation, and clinical development methodologies
  • Manage timelines, budgets, resources, and program‑level deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • MD or PhD in Neurology, Neuroscience, Immunology, or related field
  • 10+ years of industry clinical development experience with strong CNS exposure
  • Proven leadership across early‑ and late‑stage clinical trials
  • Deep understanding of global regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA)
  • Experience engaging with health authorities and preparing for regulatory interactions
  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and cross‑functional leadership skills
  • Ability to excel in rapidly evolving biotech environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in neuroinflammatory, neurodegenerative, or immunology‑adjacent therapeutic areas
  • Background in overseeing registrational programs or interacting with global regulators
  • Familiarity with emerging CNS therapeutic modalities and biomarkers
