EPM Scientific are partnering with a global agricultural technology and crop protection company recognised for delivering innovative solutions across conventional crop protection, biological products, and plant health technologies.
As the business continues to strengthen its position within the French market and accelerate the growth of its sustainable product portfolio, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Director France to lead the country's commercial strategy and drive the next phase of business growth.
This is a high-impact leadership position offering responsibility for revenue growth, distributor partnerships, commercial transformation, and the development of multifunctional sales and marketing teams.
The Position
The Commercial Director will be responsible for leading the French commercial organisation, ensuring the successful execution of business objectives while strengthening key customer relationships and expanding market presence.
Working closely with regional leadership, you will shape and implement country-level commercial strategy, influence portfolio direction, and guide the organisation through the continued transition towards biological and value-added agricultural solutions.
This role combines strategic leadership with active customer engagement and provides significant visibility across the wider EMEA business.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the commercial strategy for France, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth across key market segments
- Build and maintain high-value relationships with agricultural distributors and strategic commercial partners
- Drive the adoption and growth of both conventional crop protection and biological product portfolios
- Translate regional business objectives into effective local market execution plans
- Lead commercial negotiations and maximise long-term value creation with key customers
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
- Manage commercial forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting processes
- Collaborate closely with marketing, customer service, regulatory, and supply chain teams to optimise business performance
- Lead, develop, and inspire national sales, marketing, and customer support functions
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the organisation
Your Profile
- Extensive commercial leadership experience within the crop protection, plant health, agricultural inputs, or biologicals sector
- Strong understanding of distributor-led business models and agricultural market dynamics in France
- Demonstrated success managing strategic customer relationships and complex commercial negotiations
- Experience supporting the growth of biologicals, bio stimulants, biocontrol products, or other sustainable agricultural technologies
- Proven ability to lead organisational change and drive business transformation initiatives
- Inspirational people leader with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- Commercially astute with strong analytical, financial, and decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial or sales leadership positions within crop protection or closely related agricultural markets
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through distribution networks and strategic account management
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a customer-focused environment
- Fluency in French and English
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout France and periodically across Europe
