Associate/Medical Director - Promotional Med Ed & Advertising

EPM is working with a fast-growing, creatively driven medical communications agency in search of an Associate/Medical Director to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll serve as the scientific lead on high-impact oncology initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the scientific narrative across multiple brands and therapeutic areas, ensuring the work is both medically accurate and strategically aligned with the client's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the scientific lead on assigned accounts, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, and aligned with brand strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative, account, strategy) to develop promotional and educational materials for HCPs and patients
  • Lead the development of core messaging platforms, slide decks, MOA videos, digital assets, and congress materials
  • Provide scientific and strategic input during internal brainstorms, client meetings, and creative reviews
  • Stay current on therapeutic landscapes, clinical data, and FDA regulations to guide content development
  • Review and annotate materials for medical accuracy and compliance (including MLR submissions)
  • Mentor junior medical writers and support their development

Key Qualifications:

  • PhD in life sciences or PharmD
  • 1-3 years of experience in medical communications agency setting
  • Experience in oncology, immunology, neurology, or rare disease is a plus
  • Fully remote work (ability to work EST/CST)
