Test Engineer - MedTech

Location: Boston, MA (On‑Site, Full Time)
Contract: 5‑Month Freelance (W2 Only)
Start Date: ASAP

A leading MedTech company is seeking a Test Engineer to support product development, verification, and validation activities. Candidates must be authorised to work on a W2 basis only.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test embedded firmware and internal tooling to support hardware, software, and QA teams.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, and FDA QSR across all development and testing phases.
  • Support verification and validation (V&V) activities, risk assessments, cybersecurity reviews, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
  • Write, manage, and maintain clear and complete technical documentation, including test protocols, reports, and regulatory submission artifacts.
  • Participate in cross‑functional design reviews and contribute to ongoing improvements in testing processes and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the development and optimization of test fixtures and lab infrastructure.
  • Assist with hardware test setups, integration testing, and troubleshooting using strong understanding of electrical circuits and hands‑on interaction with electromechanical components.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with electromechanical medical devices.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, on-site work in Boston is required.
  • Immediate availability is essential.
  • Position offered on a W2‑only basis.
