With manufacturing, application labs, and technical centres across Europe, Asia, and North America, the company supports customers from formulation development through to scaled commercial supply.
This role is a key strategic hire, responsible for shaping the company's long‑term commercial trajectory within the DACH region across the CASE value chain.
Your Responsibilities
Market & Commercial Strategy
- Analyse DACH‑region CASE markets to identify high‑value customers in Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, Elastomers, Industrial OEM, and related downstream sectors.
- Lead regional sales planning, growth roadmaps, and commercial strategy execution across both direct and distributor channels.
- Develop data‑driven business cases to support market entry, portfolio positioning, and investment decisions.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends to inform pricing, segmentation, and strategic priorities.
Customer & Partnership Development
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key accounts, formulators, manufacturers, and strategic distribution partners.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade fairs, and technical symposiums as a senior commercial ambassador.
- Drive customer engagement through technical collaboration, joint development discussions, and value‑based solution selling.
- Expand the company's presence within strategic industrial segments, securing multi‑year partnership opportunities.
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop, and mentor a regional sales organisation, ensuring strong pipeline management, strategic account planning, and disciplined commercial execution.
- Set sales targets, monitor performance KPIs, and implement continuous‑improvement measures across the DACH sales function.
- Ensure close collaboration between sales, technical service, marketing, supply chain, and global business units.
Project, Contract & Pricing Management
- Oversee quoting activities, tender submissions, and complex contract negotiations with regional and multinational customers.
- Ensure regional pricing strategies deliver sustainable profitability across all CASE segments.
- Coordinate cross‑functional project teams to deliver successful technical evaluations, approvals, and scale‑up activities.
- Manage sales forecasts, budgeting, and reporting in alignment with global commercial processes.
Regional Presence & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Maintain regular customer visits across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, ensuring strong in‑market visibility.
- Act as the commercial link between DACH customers and global manufacturing, technical, and R&D teams.
- Manage administrative tasks remotely or from designated European sites.
Requirements
- University degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Additional qualifications in Sales Management, Business Development, or Commercial Leadership strongly preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of CASE formulations, specialty chemicals, or industrial materials.
- Several years of commercial experience in international sales, ideally within coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, resin technologies, pigments, additives, or other technical chemical sectors.
- Demonstrated success in securing and developing key accounts across industrial and manufacturing markets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills with senior‑level stakeholders.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to combine data‑driven analysis with strategic decision‑making.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the DACH region.
- Based in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland with hybrid remote/on‑site flexibility.
