Program Manager

EPM Scientific are partnered with a Global Medical Device Manufacturer to hire a Program Manager for an NPI project on site. This is a 24 month contract, starting mid-June, primarily on site.

What You Will Do:

  • Own full program lifecycle including NPI (New Product Introduction), prototyping, pilot builds, and high-volume production ramp.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production to meet program milestones.
  • Define and document detailed customer requirements, technical specifications, and manufacturing constraints, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules, ensuring synchronization between design, procurement, assembly, and test phases.
  • Manage program budgets, including cost tracking for materials (BOM), labour, tooling, and capital equipment.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to component availability, obsolescence, yield, DFM/DFT (Design for Manufacturability/Test), and production scalability.
  • Drive change management processes (ECRs/ECNs), ensuring controlled implementation of design and process changes.
  • Ensure adherence to electronics industry quality standards (e.g., IPC standards, ISO 9001) and support regulatory/customer audits.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as yield, cycle time, on-time delivery, and first pass success rate, implementing corrective actions where needed.
  • Act as the primary customer interface, providing regular program updates, risk assessments, and escalation management.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across electronic assembly processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • Mentor and guide project managers or junior team members, fostering strong program governance and execution discipline.
