Interventional Cardiology
I'm currently working with a highly innovative international medical technology company that is looking to appoint a National Sales Manager for Germany to lead and scale their interventional cardiology business.
The company operates in the cardiovascular medical device space, with a strong reputation for innovation and a differentiated portfolio supporting complex PCI procedures. This role sits at the forefront of the organisation's German expansion and offers significant leadership and growth responsibility.
Overview
The National Sales Manager will take full ownership of the German commercial organisation, leading a specialist sales team while driving growth across an established and expanding customer base. You'll act as the senior commercial representative in the market, combining hands‑on interventional cardiology knowledge with strong people leadership and strategic account planning.
This role requires extensive field presence and close collaboration with interventional cardiologists, hospital stakeholders, and internal international teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing national sales team in Germany
- Grow and strengthen the company's market footprint and existing customer relationships
- Drive strategic account planning and territory optimisation
- Maintain and expand relationships with key decision‑makers and clinical influencers
- Provide clinical and application support to interventional cardiologists during complex procedures when required
- Execute commercial activities for new product launches, including user and procurement presentations
- Implement national sales and marketing strategies in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Accompany procedures, attend trade shows, congresses, and industry events
- Collaborate cross‑border with international colleagues to share best practices and market insights
Background & Experience
- Degree or formal education in medicine, life sciences, biomedical engineering, or business
- Several years of successful medical device sales experience, ideally within Interventional Cardiology / Coronary Intervention
- Proven track record of results-driven sales leadership
- Strong understanding of the hospital environment and complex sales cycles
- Confident negotiator with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Autonomous, reliable, and highly motivated with a strong learning mindset
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Germany
