Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Scientist to join our dynamic pharmaceutical development team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about analytical chemistry and drug product development, particularly in the realm of oral solid dosage forms. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting analytical method development, validation, and routine testing activities, with a strong emphasis on HPLC techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical samples using HPLC and other analytical techniques.
- Support method development and validation for drug substances and drug products, with a focus on oral solid dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules).
- Conduct stability studies, dissolution testing, and content uniformity assessments.
- Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records in accordance with cGMP and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret and report analytical data, troubleshoot instrumentation issues, and ensure timely delivery of results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with formulation scientists, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to support product development and lifecycle management.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, protocols, and regulatory submission documents.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations within the laboratory setting.
Qualifications
Required:
- Hands-on experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in a pharmaceutical or academic setting.
- Prior experience working with oral solid dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules) in a development or QC environment.
Preferred (but not required):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Familiarity with other analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, GC, FTIR, or dissolution testing.
- Understanding of cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical development.
- Experience with laboratory software systems (e.g., Empower, LIMS).
